Heritage High School Discipline Office
Welcome to the Heritage Discipline Page, here at Heritage High School we have two Dean of Students and our primary job as administrators at the school is to deal with student discipline. We go about discipline in a variety of ways which allows us to have positive conversations with students about their behavior. We follow a set of guidelines that is stated in the school handbook, please when time permits take a glance at some of our processes that occur in our department. Officer Andrew Carlson of the Saginaw Township Police Department is our School Resource Officers (SRO). He is responsible for the development and maintenance of positive and proactive interaction/cooperation between parents, students, and staff of the Saginaw Township public and private schools and law enforcement/criminal justice representatives.
Discipline Office Info
The discipline department is located in the center of the north pod, across from the media center.
The ISS (In School Suspension) room is located in the discipline office. Students with In School Suspensions remain in this office for the course of their ISS time. Teachers are notified if students have an ISS and send work down for these students to do during ISS. Teachers are also available to help students in ISS on their conference hours.
Parking assignments are also handled by Mr. Pratt the discipline office. Parking permits are $45 per year. Students who wish to purchase parking permits must bring a valid driver's license, a vehicle registration and proof of insurance.

Where Do You Go With a Question or Concern?
Teacher
Questions or concerns regarding instructional practices in your child's classroom should first be directed to the classroom teacher.

If more information is needed or you still have questions and/or concerns, a discussion should be scheduled with your child's principal.

Superintendent

A conference with the Superintendent of Schools is most appropriately made if questions or concerns have not been adequately addressed at earlier levels.

The last level of contact with the district about a question or concern is the Board of Education.
