GENERAL ELEMENTARY POLICIES/PROCEDURES
ACCIDENTS
All student injuries are to be reported to staff so that the cause and extent of injury can be determined. A student accident report form must be completed and filed with the principal. Parents are called immediately when any serious illness occurs. If parents cannot be reached, the emergency numbers are contacted. It is important that both numbers are current. Please notify the office immediately of any changes.
ANIMALS/PETS
Animals may be brought to school with permission of the building principal. The District guidelines for animals in the classroom shall be followed.
BICYCLES
Students who ride their bicycles to school do so at their own risk. They are expected to comply with safety and traffic rules and procedures. By law they are required to have licenses, and helmets are recommended. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen bicycles. Bicycle racks are provided. It is recommended that all bicycles have locks. Bicycles may not be ridden on school property or played with during school hours.
BUS RULES FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
The following rules for student conduct related to transportation provided by the Saginaw Township Community School District are necessary to ensure the safety of all students and employees of the District. Therefore, it is the responsibility of students and their parent(s) to become familiar and to comply with these rules. Violation of these rules may result in the suspension of transportation privileges for a period of time as determined by the building administration.
