The White Pine Middle School Parent Council (WPPC) would like to welcome new and returning families to the 2024/2025 school year. The WPPC continues to work closely with the staff and teachers to find opportunities to enrich the students' experiences while at White Pine Middle School.
The WPPC meets monthly in the White Pine Media Center (Library). We hope you can join us! The meeting schedule can be found below.
Our primary objective as a parent council is to promote parental involvement and provide our school with funds for programs, resources and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every student. To meet this important objective, we hold fundraisers. The WPPC uses these funds to expand school and teacher resources, enriching White Pine Middle School students’ educational experiences.
During the 2023/2024 School Year, the WPPC provided funds for:
WEB Leaders (the White Pine Parent Council fully funds the WEB Leader program)
Supplies for the Homecoming float
Intramural Sports
Author Erik Jon Slangerup's visit to White Pine
Buses for the 8th graders to attend the Career Exploration and Job Fair at Heritage
Books for Classroom Libraries
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
Please see the WPPC Fundraising page for more information.

Membership & Volunteers
All parents or legal guardians with children at White Pine Middle School are members. Each parent or guardian present at a meeting shall have a vote. A nominal donation per family is requested to help to cover cost such as paper, printing, mailing, etc. but feel free to fill out the Membership & Volunteer form even without making a monetary donation.
We also ask parents to get involved by volunteering through the WPPC. Please take the time to fill out the Membership & Volunteer form to let us know of your desired involvement at White Pine. The form and donation may be dropped off at the main office or students may return them to their first core teacher (1st hour for 6th & 7th grades, 3rd hour for 8th grade). We really want parents to get involved and make a difference in their children’s middle school years.
Meetings
Please join us at our September meeting if you are able. Subsequent meetings will be determined by the incoming PC officers. Please check the White Pine Middle School web site, and click on the Parent Council link, to find these dates and to learn more.
If you would like to have a say in how we spend our funds or give input on things we can do for our kids, please join us. Again, welcome. We look forward to meeting you soon.
